LOA2 Maximizing Damage to World Boss

Some people still go and battle the World Bosses without altering their formation, which is a waste in my opinion specially if your are still below 1m BR. Unless your squad formation is somehow the same as the optimum formation in tackling the World Boss, you are missing out on bigger rewards because the damage you are dealing could be more if you alter your formation according to the current Boss.

There are 2 world Bosses and they are Skoll and Penn. Both these Bosses will always 1-hit your Hero no matter what since they are level 99. Some might ask, why alter formation then when all heroes are 1-hit KO? The answer is simple. World Bosses kill your heroes one by one, and in a fixed order. So, moving your best DPS hero to the last slot on the fixed order will ensure that your hero will attack in more turns than when moving him/her to the first slot of the order.

Let's consider Skoll. The order by which he 1hit KO your heroes is 2>1>3>4>5. This means that Skoll will always hit the hero on slot 2 of the formation, and that hero will die after the first turn. The hero on slot 5 of the formation will die after turn 5, meaning the hero in that slot will be able to attack 5 times before dying. So the best formation to employ when dealing with Skoll is to put your healer in slot 2 and your support in slot 1. The rest should be put on slots 3, 4, and 5. Put your hero with the highest BR on slot 5, the 2nd highest on slot 4, and the weakest DPS or tank in slot 3.

With Penn, the order is 2>4>1>3>5. Accordingly, put your healer and support on slot 2 and 4, and the rest on slot 1, 3, and 5 with the highest BR on slot 5.

LOA2 Tips for Beginners - Non-Casher Guide

Playing League of Angels II without spending money is of course allowed since it's free to play. But as a beginner wanting to be competitive, you will need patience and hard work. To start you off, I wrote these pointers to speed you on your way.

Don't open ritual tokens as soon as you get them. Wait until you have 10 of them and then use the Hero Summoner Summon x10 command. This way, you will get one guaranteed Legendary Angel, and if you are lucky, you just might get 2 or 3 more.

Don't underestimate Epic Angels in the early levels. Some of them are amazing and are capable of carrying your team forward. Nicole is an adept healer. Freeman is a capable tank. Carl is a good single target DPS'er, and Elaine performs so well she should be Legendary. You can never go wrong with any of these Angels. Plus, they can be had with only Pray Tokens if you are lucky.

You will start with a 3-team formation. Further along though, you will unlock slots for 2 more Angels to join your team. My advice is to not fill them. A team with 3 members is fine early on. Sure you can make a 5-member team, but you will end up having weak heroes because you will be allocating your resources to level and equip all 5 of them. With 3, you will have a strong foundation until such time that you are ready to add another to your team. A good team can be your main, a healer (Nicole, if you have no legendary healer yet), and a tank like Freeman. You can add a DPS hero later like Carl or Elaine.

Use diamonds to get extra attempts in the Arena, especially when you are climbing the rankings. If you fight only players who are ranked higher than you that you know you can beat, the game will reward you with more diamonds than what you spent for those extra attempts. You get 5 free attempts daily, and you can buy 5 more. Use it.

Progress through the Abyss and Hero Trials as far as you can daily.

Add friends. Friends can give you stamina. You can also get the services of a friend in the Abyss on levels that are too difficult for you. So add friends, send them stamina, and hopefully they will send you some too.

So, here's hoping these tips will help you. If you are an absolute beginner, just play the game, learn the mechanics, and enjoy. League of Angels II is an amazing game, and it's not hard at all. There's tons to do and lots of people to meet. Keep playing!

LOA2 - Formation with only 3 Heroes

There have been several occasions where other players, upon seeing my lineup of only 3 members (my main, and 2 angels), have asked me how to do it. I've been asked a lot of times so I might as well share it.

Before anything though, some might ask, Why only 3 when you can have 5 in your lineup? The reason is that if you only have a 3-man team, it's easier to make your 2 Angels equal to your main character in terms of equipment, level, and evolve stage. And since you concentrated on only 3 characters, most of the time your heroes have higher BR (battle rating) than individual opposing players characters who are struggling to optimize 5 characters. Sure, overall, their team have higher total BR, but yours have better individual BR and are tougher, hit's harder, and more likely to survive a battle.

Also, since you have optimized your characters according to your level, you can easily 3-star a story quest since you don't have a weak link. 5-member teams usually end up with their lowest BR character dying so they'll likely to only get 2 stars.

Another thing, if you deploy your 3 characters in one line formation, you maximize your damage since their RAGE bar gets filled up quickly via getting hit and allowing your main and your Angels to cast their Ultimate.

Setting up a 3-member lineup is easy. All you have to do is don't deploy Augustine at the beginning when the tutorial asks you too (see image below). After that, make sure not to deploy any Angels anymore because once you deployed them, you can never remove them, you can only replace them.

The tutorial asking me to add Augustine. Go ahead and click where the arrow is pointing.

After clicking, it will redirect you to the deploy hero screen. This time,DON'T CLICK where the arrow is pointing. Just click the x to close the screen.
Further along though, in the higher levels, it's best to shift to a full 5-member lineup to benefit from your Ally affinities.
