LOA2 - Turn Legendary Heroes Into Mythics

When the mythic heroes arrived on League of Angels 2, everybody raced out to get them. Players started concentrating of Moira, Pamela, and Rei. Meanwhile, the legendary heroes on their team were swept aside to give room to the 3 mythics. But GTArcade just released a new update to LOA2, and this will change the way players treat legendary heroes.

The new Hero Evolve system will enable players to evolve legendaries into mythics. Yes that's right, at Augment+11 above, players can now turn legendary angels into mythics. For this current update, only 3 legendaries can be evolved yet. They are Alecta, Theresa, and Aphrodite. But with this direction, it's pretty sure we can evolve the rest of the legendary heroes soon as well.

Post Evolution

  • Legendary angels will turn into Mythics, gaining a new skill in the process. Their previous skills will be enhanced as well.
  • After evolution, Legenday heroes will have a new stat called Evo level. This level will be equal to the heroes augment level less 11. So, if you evolve an augment+11 Alecta, you will get an Evo Level 0 Alecta.
  • Mythic angels can also evolve, but they will remain as mythics after evolution. Their skills though will also be enhanced.
  • Evolved legendary hero portrait graphics will have a bit of a change to differentiate it from it's non-evolved version.
  • Succesive evolution will raise the hero's stat attributes and its special attributes.
  • Hero Cores are needed to evolve a hero.
  • Primal Crystals and Gold are needed to raise a hero's Evo Level.
  • When angels are evolved, the Augment Level system will be replaced by Evo Level. Evo Level after evolving starts from previous Augment Level minus eleven (11).
  • Legendary heroes will retain the stat bonuses from affinities even after evolution.

Legendary angel Aphrodite evolving into Mythic.

We will update this once we have more concrete info. But for now, players with Alecta, Theresa, and Aphrodite can begin enjoying this new Evolution System. Stay tuned!

What do you think of this new update on League of Angels 2? Share your thoughts on the comments below. Thanks!

LOA2 - F2P Undying Freeman Carry on a 3-Man Squad

Ok, so maybe "undying" is an exaggeration but Freeman is arguably the best Epic Angel in LOA2, better than Elaine in my opinion. Freeman will take you further than Elaine will ever will. What makes Freeman special is his ability to fully heal himself, and his tankiness. For a free to play player, he is one of the best options out there, especially if you don't want to waste diamonds on ritual tokens hoping to get a Lucas, Huxley, or a Lydia. Pair Freeman with a healer and you are set. In a 3-man team, any healer will do. The best though is Flora, so make sure you pick up all Flora shards on the Hero Shop and raid elite maps for her shards too. Below is a video of a 3-man squad concentrated on beefing up Freeman.

As you can see from the video, any other angel would have died on the 1st or 2nd round of that match. But not Freeman. Of course, you also need to make sure your main can dish out at least significant damage to supplement Freeman's low offense. Doing so will give your squad the capability to finish the opposing team. 45% of your resources should go to Freeman, 35% to your Main, and the rest to Flora. Keep Flora and your Main at the back to keep them away from damage (or if you are up against back row killers, shift them to the front and let Freeman stay at the back).

Trouble with this setup is your lack of firepower, that's why do not forget to increase your Main's attack stats. Your Main will be your killer, and Freeman will soak up all the damage the enemy throws your way. take note though that you will have great difficulty defeating AI teams with 2 healers or 1 healer and 2 tanks. Don't get frustrated though, you will get stronger and you can defeat them in time. Here's another video of Freeman tanking.

But Freeman won't last you forever, so save up your souls to buy mythic shards when they become available for you. By choosing Freeman, you won't be wasting souls to buy up Legendary angel shards. Freeman is cheap and very effective.

As a final note, it's a good idea to keep a leveled up Carl as backup to replace Flora when you face an AI team with healers. Carl will help with the killing. Freeman doesn't depend much on healers anyway, especially on normal and elite maps. I said replace not add, take note. If you want to stick to a 3-man squad, don't ever add a 4th hero because you can't ever remove him/her again.

So, let me know what you think in the comments. Also, do you think Elaine is better? If you do, post your arguments on the comments as well. Thanks!

LOA2 - Who is the Best Legendary Healer?

There are 3 Legendary healer angels in League of Angels 2; Thera (Celestial), Aishah (Tempest), and Flora (Midas). But which one is the best at what they do?

Thera

  • Her ultimate heals everyone, healing individual teammates for 150% of her ATK stat.
  • Her ultimate's heal is spread out as 4 hits succesively, meaning each of those hits can CRIT, which is a good thing since it takes 4 times for the game to determine if the heal will crit or not.
  • Her normal heal is 200% of her ATK stat, which is decent, but it removes all debuffs from the target, which is great. Cooldown is 2 turns.
  • Thera's passive skill gives 10% more DR to the entire team. Downside is that this buff only last 2-4 turns. Good for short fights, useless in long fights.
  • Stats wise, she has the best defensive stats. Thera is good in front mid or top, right in the line of fire since stat-wise since the more damage she gets, the more rage, and more ultimate heals.

Aishah

  • Her ultimate has the best healing over time since her heals grow stronger after each turn. Heals come in a single hit so when the heal CRIT's, it is usually for a big amount.
  • Her normal skill heals 3 targets for 80% of her ATK individually. Also raises the target's DR by 10%.
  • Aishah's attacks steal rage from her target, meaning in one on one situations, Aishah's opponent will never be able to use an ultimate skill.
  • Has average defensive stats, good for the front bottom spot away from the enemy's main DPS since her heals need some time to really shine.

Flora

  • Her ultimate heals 2 teammates with amazing amount, and it also adds ATK.
  • Her normal skill heals 1 teammate and it gives rage. She doesn't attack, she just heals.
  • Flora's passive is arguably the best among the healers because it gives everyone 250 rage per turn, meaning more ultimates for the entire team.
  • She has the worst defensive stats, but the best offensive stats, meaning she takes more damage but she heals significantly more too.
  • Best for a 3-man squad since her ultimate is limited to only 2 targets. Bad when team is against an AOE opponent.

There you go, an analysis of the legendary healers. Got something to add, share in the comments below. Thanks!!!

LOA2 - How to Set Up a 1-Man Squad

I'm sure you guys noticed that proliferation of 1-man squads, or teams comprised only of the main character, in League of Angels II, especially on the new servers. A lot of people have asked me how to do it. So, not wanting to disappoint, I made a youtube video about how to set one up.

Please note though that the process of creating a 1-man squad is considered cheating. Why? Because of the use of a 3rd party software, in this case it is Cheat Engine. I haven't read the terms and conditions of the game yet, I mean who does, right? But frankly, I'm quite sure the phrase "use of 3rd party software is illegal" is in there somewhere, as this is a common rule in games. However, I haven't heard of someone banned yet even after numerous reports from other players that so and so player is using a 1-man team in League of Angels 2. So, do the process of creating a 1-man team at your own risk, ok? Don't say I didn't warn you.

Why are 1-man squads so popular anyway? Well, they have several advantages, all from the fact that having just a single hero, all resources will be allocated to it and no one else. One is that they perform well in normal and elite maps, easily getting 3-stars everytime because their main character is so beefed up it can beat the map single-handed and since there are no other angels in the team, nobody dies hence the 3-stars. Same goes in Abyss Dungeon, and also the Anima map. Single hero, no weakness, guaranteed 3 stars.

Another advantage is in arena and xserver and in any PVP situations where the character levels are the same or with only a few level difference. They can beat other players with significantly higher BR than them. Why? Because BR is calculated as the total BR's of all heroes in the team and a 1-man team, having only 1 hero has low BR as expected. However, if you check the individual BR's of the heroes in a team, you will notice that the BR of the 1 hero in a 1-man squad is higher compared to the individual BR of any hero in a 5-man or a 3-man team.

Can you think of more advantages of a 1-man team? Please mention it in the comments below. Also, if you know of some disadvantages, feel free to comment as well.

Video - How to Set Up a 3-Man Team/Squad

Hi! Lots of people are still asking how to set up a 3-man squad. Here's a video tutorial I made. Check it out.

Result of Poll: Who's better, Huxley, Lucas, or Aurora

Hi and thank you so much for participating in the poll "Who's your favorite Angel?" The results are in and here is what you dear readers think.

FIRST PLACE - Lucas.
Looks like Lucas is a heavy favorite. What's not to like after all? His crits are amazing, his special attack hits 2 heroes, and he can come back from the dead to fight again. A must for Tempest teams.

SECOND PLACE - Aurora.
The lovely Aurora comes in second. In the early days of LOA2, Midas teams are thought of as weak compared to Tempest and Celestial, but according to this poll, that is no longer the case.

THIRD PLACE - Huxley
Wow, Hux came in third. This is surprising considering that Hux is one of the favorites when LOA2 came out. Guess things have changed since then.

There you go, the result of our first poll. A new poll is up, please check the right sidebar. Vote your favorite now!!!

LOA2 What Runes Are and How To Use Them

Hi and sorry for the long hiatus. I'm back with more useful info on League of Angels II. Today, I will be discussing runes and their uses.

Types of Runes

1. ATK Rune - This increases your hero's attack damage, and that covers both it's normal attack and it's special attack.

2. HP Runes - This rune will increase your hero's health pool (HP). The more HP it has, the more damage it can take.

3. DEF Runes - Increases a hero's resistance to attack. This means that DEF will absorb some of the attack damage that it receives during battle.

4. AGI Runes - The more agility your hero has, the faster it can attack before other heroes. In battle, the hero with the highest agility attacks first, and this affects both normal and special attack.

5. END Runes - Endurance runes. This rune reduces the chance that your hero will receive a critical hit. The more END a hero has, the less chance it has from receiving a critical hit.

6. DODGE Runes - Dodge runes helps a hero avoid all attack damage by dodging the hit. A hero with high dodge will have a high chance of dodging attacks.

7. CRIT Runes - Increases the chance that your hero's attack is a critical one. Critical attacks hit harder than normal.

8. HIT Runes - This rune determines your hero's chances of hitting a target when it attacks. The higher the HIT value, the less likely that it will miss during attacks.

Runes can be socketed to Relics, and it will increase your hero's stats depending on which rune is used. Runes with the same type and level can also be synthed, or combined, to create a same rune but one level higher than the levels of the runes used in the synthing. Max Rune level is seven (7).

Tune in next post as I will be discussing about the best runes to equip to certain heroes in the game. Ciao!!!

LOA2 Legendary EPIC Heroes

Hi guys, seems most everyone is bent on getting Legendary heroes for their team. Although Legendary heroes are better, there are Epic heroes out there that perform very well if you can't afford your Legendary heroes yet. You can augment Epics faster, and if you are not up against cashers, you can outdamage other players by using Epics. While those who opted for Legendary heroes early on are still at Augment +3, your Epic heroes are already +6 on their way to Augment +7. Below are the best of the best Epics in League of Angels II.

1. Elaine (Tempest)

Her shards cost 30 more souls at 90 souls per 5 shards but she's worth it. Her damage is awesome, wiping out rows and rows of enemies in quest maps with a single Ultimate from her. She shines on PVP as well, as long as she's augmented at least 3-4 times higher than enemy Legendary heroes. She is so good other players are clamoring she be turned into a Legendary hero. Keep her safe in backrow and let her do her thing. Plus, her 2nd skill Chaos Orb can stun when it crits. So give her some crit runes to maximize her usefulness.

2. Adolf (Tempest)

Adolf is a vampire. His ultimate gives him HP back. Imagine a beefed up Adolf hitting a target and doing max damage, then getting back HP equivalent to his damage. Wow. Blood Ritual is just that. It hits a single target and gets 100% of the damage back as HP. His skills are single target which means they don'tt help the other enemy heroes gain rage. Put him behind a tank or another DPS hero and watch as he eradicate the opposing team members one by one. His other skill, Sanguine Curse does ATKx334% damage at augment +1, although only 60% of that is applied to the enemy during current turn and the rest will be spread out evenly on 2 turns (damage over time).

3. Carl (Midas)

The Epic's king of single target. Carl's ultimate always crits and it does awesome damage that even tanks can't withstand. You can forego giving him crit runes, instead give him runes that will help his survival like end or dodge runes then just sit back and watch as the enemy falls one at a time. His Shadow Shiv skill is very powerful, and as if that's not enough, it gets buffed with 50% more damage if the target has less than 50% HP. This epic is efficient at killing, and is one of the favorite epics out there.

4. Nicole (Celestial)

One of the true healers out there, Nicole heals at every turn. So no more waiting for your healers to finish their attacks so that they can heal next turn, Nicole does it always. Her ultimate heals your front row. Pair her with another healer like There, Aisha, Flora, or maybe even Natalie, and your team will be very hard to beat. Nicole heals your front row while your other healer heals your back row. Everything covered.

That's it. Your Legendary EPIC angels. Do you know an Epic whom you think is very good? Don't hesitate to share them below. Thanks!

LOA2 Free Player - Starting Out Tips

Here are some starting tips for free-to-play (f2p) players. Do take note though that you should not follow the tips here if you are aiming to be the top player on the first week. Although it's doable, trying to be the best in a new server is very hard for an f2p player.

1. Focus on elite heroes when starting out.

For heroes, you can use 2 area of effect dps heroes, 2 healers, and of course your main. The best combo, for me, is Elaine (aoe dps), Mikaela (aoe dps), Nicole (healer), and Natalie (healer). Elaine and mikaela can clear maps fast while Nicole and Natalie are good healers. You will also get a boost on ATK from Natalie.

2. Buy refresh tokens on first and second day.

Don't have the heroes you want? You can buy refresh tokens to refresh the hero shop for more chances of getting shards of the required heroes above. Once you have enough shards, synth them to get the hero. Also, make sure you buy shards for the heroes with affinity to Elaine and Mikaela for starters.

3. Use a formation that focuses on quick rage for your healers.

Your healers need rage so that their heal can keep the rest of the team alive. Because of this, you need your healers on the front, along with your main. Put Elaine and Mikaela at the back to keep them alive longer. Nicole will heal the heroes in front while Natalie will be able to heal those at the back in case you are up against back row killers. You will survive long with this setup.

4. Buy all stamina packs you can, including those in the mall.

You will need stamina for leveling, farming, and clearing maps. I suggest you buy stamina 5 times (limit for a free player) and grab any stamina on sale in the mall.

5. Buy at least 100 diamonds worth of extra raid and palace energy, and also raid packs and palace energy packs on sale.

Palace energy makes your AFK dungeon raiding longer which in turn nets you more coins and relics. Raid keeps you supplied with relics and shards to synth to relics, and who knows, you might get lucky and get a legendary relic.

6. Make sure you got your heroes augmented to +4 on 2nd or 3rd day.

Once you got your heroes to +4, you will be more competitive in quest maps, arena, and abyss. Augmenting to +5 will be much easier once you get to +4.

7. Do all the daily quests.

The daily quest is a good source of EXP, gold, and diamonds. Make sure you complete each quest and grab the rewards after.

8. Do not buy ritual tokens.

It's tempting, I know, but you should never buy ritual tokens. The game awards you with enough free ritual tokens to do at least 10 summons every few days. Save your diamonds for domination betting. You can double your diamonds by betting.

LOA2 - How to Claim All Bless Stone Rewards in Day 3 (Mythical Heroes)

Whenever a new server is opened in League of Angels 2, there will always be a 7-day Carnival on that server. This carnival runs for a week, and everyday you get free rewards just by logging in. But the goodies don't end there,

Everyday of that whole week, there are quests that need to be completed and of course there are rewards for completing them. I call this the carnival quests wherein there are a set of conditions that you must meet in order to claim the amazing rewards that will be awarded once those conditions are met. You have the whole week to complete each and every quest.

Some quest are quite easy, you just play the game, upgrade your characters according to your progress in the game and without knowing it, you've unlocked a condition and the rewards are there for the taking. Some are hard though, especially for the non-casher players. One such quest is the Mythical Heroes quest wherein the game requires you to upgrade heroes to higher ranks. Easier said than done!

As you can see from the image above, there are 1100 bless stones to be had if you can raise a heroes rank to R6. Also, there are a total of 1250 bless stones for free if you can get your entire 5-member team to R5. This is an awesome freebie, but it won't be easy getting each and every bless stone rewards here.

So, how can you get all the bless stones? Here's how I did it.

  • First, I chose an angel that I want to concentrate my rank upgrades on (I chose Elaine, got her on pray tokens). This is done on the very first day of the server.
  • I played the game normally, but instead of raising the rank of all the members of my team, I only raised Elaine's. Raised her til she was R3. Claimed the reward.
  • Raised the others to R1.
  • Raised Elaine again til R5. Claimed the reward.
  • Raised the others to R2.
  • Raised Elaine to R6. It took time, but I did it. No reason you can't do it too. Claimed the reward.
  • Now, here is the most important part. Once I got 1 Angel to R6, I USED THE REBIRTH function on that Angel. Why? So that you will get all the resources you used, including all the bless stones.
  • Used the resources I got back from Rebirth to upgrade all members (including my Elaine again which went back to R1 after Rebirth) of the team to R2, R3, R4, then finally to R5, collecting bless stone rewards along the way.

That's it. Hope this guide helped you. Oh, and one more thing. Make sure you choose an Angel, and not your main hero because you can't use Rebirth on your main. Let me know if you have your own strategy by mentioning them in the comments section. Thanks!

LOA2 Maximizing Damage to World Boss

Some people still go and battle the World Bosses without altering their formation, which is a waste in my opinion specially if your are still below 1m BR. Unless your squad formation is somehow the same as the optimum formation in tackling the World Boss, you are missing out on bigger rewards because the damage you are dealing could be more if you alter your formation according to the current Boss.

There are 2 world Bosses and they are Skoll and Penn. Both these Bosses will always 1-hit your Hero no matter what since they are level 99. Some might ask, why alter formation then when all heroes are 1-hit KO? The answer is simple. World Bosses kill your heroes one by one, and in a fixed order. So, moving your best DPS hero to the last slot on the fixed order will ensure that your hero will attack in more turns than when moving him/her to the first slot of the order.

Let's consider Skoll. The order by which he 1hit KO your heroes is 2>1>3>4>5. This means that Skoll will always hit the hero on slot 2 of the formation, and that hero will die after the first turn. The hero on slot 5 of the formation will die after turn 5, meaning the hero in that slot will be able to attack 5 times before dying. So the best formation to employ when dealing with Skoll is to put your healer in slot 2 and your support in slot 1. The rest should be put on slots 3, 4, and 5. Put your hero with the highest BR on slot 5, the 2nd highest on slot 4, and the weakest DPS or tank in slot 3.

With Penn, the order is 2>4>1>3>5. Accordingly, put your healer and support on slot 2 and 4, and the rest on slot 1, 3, and 5 with the highest BR on slot 5.

Let me know if this post helped you. If you have any suggestions or reactions, feel free to comment.

LOA2 Tips for Beginners - Non-Casher Guide

Playing League of Angels II without spending money is of course allowed since it's free to play. But as a beginner wanting to be competitive, you will need patience and hard work. To start you off, I wrote these pointers to speed you on your way.

Don't open ritual tokens as soon as you get them. Wait until you have 10 of them and then use the Hero Summoner Summon x10 command. This way, you will get one guaranteed Legendary Angel, and if you are lucky, you just might get 2 or 3 more.

Don't underestimate Epic Angels in the early levels. Some of them are amazing and are capable of carrying your team forward. Nicole is an adept healer. Freeman is a capable tank. Carl is a good single target DPS'er, and Elaine performs so well she should be Legendary. You can never go wrong with any of these Angels. Plus, they can be had with only Pray Tokens if you are lucky.

You will start with a 3-team formation. Further along though, you will unlock slots for 2 more Angels to join your team. My advice is to not fill them. A team with 3 members is fine early on. Sure you can make a 5-member team, but you will end up having weak heroes because you will be allocating your resources to level and equip all 5 of them. With 3, you will have a strong foundation until such time that you are ready to add another to your team. A good team can be your main, a healer (Nicole, if you have no legendary healer yet), and a tank like Freeman. You can add a DPS hero later like Carl or Elaine.

Use diamonds to get extra attempts in the Arena, especially when you are climbing the rankings. If you fight only players who are ranked higher than you that you know you can beat, the game will reward you with more diamonds than what you spent for those extra attempts. You get 5 free attempts daily, and you can buy 5 more. Use it.

Progress through the Abyss and Hero Trials as far as you can daily.

Add friends. Friends can give you stamina. You can also get the services of a friend in the Abyss on levels that are too difficult for you. So add friends, send them stamina, and hopefully they will send you some too.

So, here's hoping these tips will help you. If you are an absolute beginner, just play the game, learn the mechanics, and enjoy. League of Angels II is an amazing game, and it's not hard at all. There's tons to do and lots of people to meet. Keep playing!

LOA2 - Formation with only 3 Heroes

There have been several occasions where other players, upon seeing my lineup of only 3 members (my main, and 2 angels), have asked me how to do it. I've been asked a lot of times so I might as well share it.

Before anything though, some might ask, Why only 3 when you can have 5 in your lineup? The reason is that if you only have a 3-man team, it's easier to make your 2 Angels equal to your main character in terms of equipment, level, and evolve stage. And since you concentrated on only 3 characters, most of the time your heroes have higher BR (battle rating) than individual opposing players characters who are struggling to optimize 5 characters. Sure, overall, their team have higher total BR, but yours have better individual BR and are tougher, hit's harder, and more likely to survive a battle.

Also, since you have optimized your characters according to your level, you can easily 3-star a story quest since you don't have a weak link. 5-member teams usually end up with their lowest BR character dying so they'll likely to only get 2 stars.

Another thing, if you deploy your 3 characters in one line formation, you maximize your damage since their RAGE bar gets filled up quickly via getting hit and allowing your main and your Angels to cast their Ultimate.

Setting up a 3-member lineup is easy. All you have to do is don't deploy Augustine at the beginning when the tutorial asks you too (see image below). After that, make sure not to deploy any Angels anymore because once you deployed them, you can never remove them, you can only replace them.

The tutorial asking me to add Augustine. Go ahead and click where the arrow is pointing.

After clicking, it will redirect you to the deploy hero screen. This time,DON'T CLICK where the arrow is pointing. Just click the x to close the screen.
Further along though, in the higher levels, it's best to shift to a full 5-member lineup to benefit from your Ally affinities.
